NBA All Star Dallas 2010 Logo Unveiled

Yesterday prior to the season opener against the Houston Rockets (which we lost by the way...) Jerry Jones and Mark Cuban along with David Stern unveiled the logo for the 2010 NBA All Star game. The good news is the logo says Dallas and not Arlington, which is where the new Cowboys stadium is located. The All-Star game will be played under the stars with the retractable roof for an estimated 96,000 onlooking fans. Click here to read more.

J-Ho Redemption

Josh Howard played pretty good last night to get Rick Carlisle his first win as the Dallas Mavericks head coach. I know its only preseason, but for some strange reason I'm excited about this season. Sure, I know the Mavs will proly get eliminated in the first round of the playoffs if they even make it that far, but last night I noticed something different about their game. I noticed a lot of steal/interception attempts and good rebounding for second chance opportunities, a lot of which were successful, flat out hustle. It was also nice to see Diop out there getting a block or two.

Something else I'm excited about is having a Slam Dunk contest winner in Gerald Green on the team. Although I'm sure his time will be limited, he'll have a few good season highlights. Here's a lil fun fact, Gerald Green is missing half of his ring finger on his right hand.

I'm sure many of you have already heard about the most anticipated "smart" phone since the iPhone. Many of you might have even pre-ordered and received it by now! Sure it seems like all the stars have aligned bringing the two distant planets of Qwerty and Touch together. Like, OMG, it's like a Sidekick and an iPhone all in one! There's a lot of hype surrounding the G1 and at a measly cost of $179.99 its pretty tempting. But I won't make the same mistake I made over a year ago with the iPhone... I think I'll wait a couple of months before thinking of buying one. I guess what I'm trying to say is that, you fool me once, you fool me you can't fool me again, as a very wise man once said. Don't hate the player, hate the game.
